Though it made little impact initially, eventually received airplay and the album sold over 12 million copies in the USA, making it one of the best selling debut albums ever. It was produced by Ben Keith, who has also produced works for artists such as Neil Young and Patsy Cline. Other hits include and as well as the UK single After two years, the album was re-released.

Mine is scratchedIt is needless to say that Jewel has a beautiful voice. This cd is one of many that I have played so much it is scratched badly. This cd has a variety of songs and each of them are great. I bought the cd for 2 songs and ended up singing along to every one of them. The words to the songs are very deep and some of them make you want to cry.I would say that this cd is a must have in any one's collection. I even know a few men that have it. Although my husband hates it, but that is because any time it is on I sing like crazy to it.

And once I start, I can't stop until the song is over. Jewel - pieces of you cdI bought the Jewel 'Pieces of You' cd a couple of weeks ago. I already knew what to expect because i already owned th cd several years ago, but it was lost. This is my reasoning for purchasing the cd, because it is a very good cd if you enjoy mellow folk rock which i do. I would not reccomend a present day jewel fan to purchase the album because jewel is creating a whole different genre of music now. However, if you are into mellow, folky, coffee house tunes, this would be a good purchase. Content way too darkWhat I like, or actually love, is Jewel's awesome voice, that's why I purchased this CDjust to hear more of that crystalline voice.

I know nothing of her style of songs, only had the beautiful Christmas CD to go. However, I was very disappointed in this CD.

This one is more of a 'ballad syle' of songs; which I normally wouldn't mind. But the content of these songs were sad and very darkway too dark for me, so I gave it away. There is too much negativity and evil in the world, I really do not want to hear about it in my music.
